Research and Innovation will be facilitated for meeting the 4IR Challenges
Eminent educators have called for emphasis on research and innovation to meet the challenges of industrial revolution. They said, the current era is sustainable development. The main driving force of this development is science and technology. The more emphasis can be placed on research and innovation along with these two issues, the easier it will be to meet the challenges of industrial revolution.
Speakers said these things at the opening ceremony of the fifth international conference on 'Sustainable Technology for Industry 5.0' on Saturday (December 9). Green University of Bangladesh has organized this two-day conference as part of determining effective strategies for advanced, modern and sustainable technology. It was organized by the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the university.
Apart from Bangladesh, teachers and researchers from different countries of the world including UK, Singapore, India, Iran, Malaysia and Denmark participated in the conference.
The conference was presided over by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Green University. Khwaja Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed. Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department Samsul Arefin was the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
Samsul Arefin said that the government has emphasized on information technology and multidimensional research. Through this, the dream of building a prosperous and golden Bengal will be fulfilled in the future. Therefore, to build a sustainable society, we need to focus on information and communication technology as well as research and innovation. We believe that knowledge-based Bangladesh will be developed through this in the future.
Acting Vice-Chancellor of Green University. Khawaja Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed said, now the role of sustainable technology is seen in every field of life. As Bangladeshis, we also have to walk on that path.

Earlier, 293 research papers were submitted from various universities for presentation at the conference, from which 119 papers were selected. Among them, a total of 22 articles were submitted in the context of Bangladesh.
